Wallace Junior Robertson

JuniorOn the morning of July 25, 2015 Wallace Junior Robertson, age 65, of 42 Furnace Hill Road Goshen, VA went home to be with the Lord.

Junior was born on September 16, 1949, to Steward Wallace and Allie Mae Robertson of Goshen, VA.  On May 16, 1969, Junior married Patricia Ann Hinkle also of Goshen, VA.  Together they had two children, David Christopher and Crystal Dawn Robertson.  Junior worked hard for many years for Frank Kirby & Sons and recently retired from Roof Top Services.  He was a dedicated member of Bells Valley Methodist Church.  Junior enjoyed playing Santa every year for the whole community.  He was also a member of the Buffalo Trail Riders and enjoyed wagon trains and horses.  He also enjoyed poker runs, softball, and many other outdoor activities.

Junior was survived by his wife Patsy Robertson, son Chris Robertson (Mary Taylor) & daughter Crystal Henderson (Shannon Hall), grandchildren, Trenah Robertson, Caleb, Hailey, & Ethan Petty, Terri, Brian, & Jeannie Taylor, along with brothers, Steward, Marshall (Shirley), and Melvin Robertson, sisters Martha Wilhelm, Edith Powell (Clain) and Mildred Burke, Billy Tolley, and several special friends.  In addition to his parents Junior was preceded in death by his brothers Marvin and Russell, sister Mary Powell, borthers-in-law Brooks Powell, Dallas Burke, Andrew Wilhelm & sister-in-law Lorraine Robertson, and grandson Ronnie Hudson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday July 28, 2015 at St Paul’s Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Pysell officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Robertson, Clinton Robertson, Adam Robertson, Robert Robertson, Chester Burke, Rusty Ingram, Michael Robertson, and Brian Taylor; honorary pallbearers will be friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm Monday July 27, 2015 at Craigsville Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Fire Department.
