Frances Lorraine Walton Grow, 87, of Staunton, Virginia died Tuesday, August 04, 2015 at UVA Medical Center.
She was born September 1, 1927 in Goshen, the daughter of the late Richard Clayton and Merlie Virginia Zimbru Walton.
Frances was previously employed as an inspector at Unifi.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Frances is survived by her daughters: Jeannette Virginia Kennedy and Carolyn Grow Shiflet of Staunton; grandchild: Lauren Shiflet Jack and husband Christopher of Waynesboro;
great grandchildren: Zuri Jack and Otto Jack; brother; Richard “Nelson” Walton and wife Peggy of Staunton; sister; Betty Jane Jenkins and husband James of Culpeper; other; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Coronary Care Unit at UVA and Augusta Health.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands: David Dwight Kennedy and John Russell Grow; and her brother Carl Walton who passed in 1950 in the Korean War.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday August 8, 2015 at Little River Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Mark Jenkins officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
