Walley Wayne “Buddy” Meeks

Walley Wayne “Buddy” Meeks, 76, of Craigsville, Virginia went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family, Friday, November 07, 2014 in Craigsville.

He was born November 14, 1937 in Augusta County, the son of the late William Lincoln Meeks and Nellie Gold Meeks Christ.

Buddy was a retired independent contract plumber.

He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving in WWII.

Buddy enjoyed drinking coffee and loved watching the news, Nascar, boxing, and the VA Cavaliers basketball team.

He is survived by his daughter: Jeana Williams (Michael) of Louisa; 2 grandchildren: Jakob and Jesse Williams of Louisa; 2 brothers; Richard Meeks of Craigsville and Gene Christ (Donnella) of Garratt, VA; 3 sisters; Nancy Lumsden of Craigsville, Patsy Owens of Goshen, and Laura Burke of Goshen; special niece Teresa Spray, her sons Tony Lumsden (Katie), and Mikey Stuples, all of Craigsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Charles, Robert, and Thomas Meeks.

A memorial will be held at a later time.
