Grant N. Sensabaugh

Grant N. Sensabaugh, 88, of 111 Old Alleghany Circle, Goshen, Virginia died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Heritage Hall in Lexington, Virginia.
He was born February 6, 1926 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the son of the late Elmer Clarence Sensabaugh and Anna Bell Lotts Sensabaugh.
Mr. Sensabaugh was a retired carpenter & construction worker. Prior to that he was a tractor trailer driver.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII.
He was a Charter Member of the Goshen Rescue Squad; a member of the Goshen Baptist Church; and a Goshen Area Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed his family and working with children. He was a member of the Buffalo Trail Riders Association.
He was married to Lucille B. Sensabaugh who preceded him in death in March 1986.
He is survived by a daughter, Faye Fitzgerald of Goshen; a grandson, Ricky Benson of Staunton, Virginia; 6 brothers, Samuel “Sam” Sensabaugh & wife Anna of Lynchburg, Virginia, Claude Sensabaugh & wife Frances of Lynchburg, Elmer Sensabaugh, Jr. of Goshen, Freeman Sensabaugh & wife Peggy of Goshen, Larry Sensabaugh & wife Eloise of Lexington, Virginia and Marvin Sensabaugh & wife Cindy of Goshen; 3 sisters, Aline Smith & husband Maurice of Lexington, May Bell Tolley & husband Harry of Madison Heights, Virginia and Margie Bryant of Goshen; 2 sisters-in-law, Janet Sprouse & husband Darrell of Goshen and Wanda Rusmisel of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Pugh.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Goshen Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Reese officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Craigsville Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Rescue Squad.
