Alf Junior McHenry

IMG952019040195160858Alf Junior McHenry, 79, of Craigsville, Virginia died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his home in Craigsville.

He was born July 24, 1939 in West Virginia, the son of the late William McHenry and Ruth Pritt McHenry.

Junior was formerly employed as a manual laborer for Blue Ridge Lumber, and was also a foreman for Mayflower Moving and Storage.  He was a hard-working man who loved to maintain his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel Ann Ingram McHenry; children, Debbie Ingram and husband Johnny of Goshen, Sallie Madison of Richmond, Sambo Poole of Craigsville, Fonda Sprouse and husband Steve of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Junior was preceded in death by two children, Donna Darlene Wright and Faye Lynn McHenry.

A private family service will be conducted at a later date.  The family will receive friends at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Craigsville Funeral Home.
