Lucy Morris Dickey

LucyLucy Arletia Morris Dickey, 84, of Goshen , Virginia died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Home in Staunton, Virginia.

She was born May 8, 1934 in Augusta County, the daughter of the late David and Bessie Gladwell Morris.

Lucy was formerly employed as a seamstress at Genesco.

She is survived by her children, Telford Dickey, Jr. and wife Linda of Goshen, Roland Dickey and wife Penny of Craigsville, Sandra Hinkle of Craigsville; grandchildren, Amy Dickey, Dale Dickey, Suzy Clevenger, April Grimm, Dustin Dickey, Brandon Hinkle; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Blakely of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Brookdale Clearbridge Unit and New Century Hospice.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Telford “Ted” Dickey, Sr., 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Linwood Wilkes officiating.
