Margie Ann Terry

MargieMargie Ann Miller Terry, 81, of Lexington, Virginia, formerly of Goshen, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in Kendal at Lexington.

She was born June 7, 1935 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Cecil Miller and Florence Alice Hinkle Miller.

Margie was previously employed as a seamstress for Jane Colby.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved to fish, hunt mushrooms, and play cards.

Margie is survived by her children: Deborah Curry-Lee & husband Bobby of Covington, VA, Sandra Kirby & husband Wayne of Dandridge, TN; grandchildren: Donald Curry III & wife Angel, Lacey Kirby; great grandchildren: Khaleesi Faye Curry; brothers-in-law: Golden Terry & wife Bonnie, Homer Terry & wife Betty, Jessie Terry; sister-in-law: Ruth Ramsey; numerous nieces and nephews, friends she thought of as grandchildren: Travis and Angie Matheny, a special caregiver: Susie Vess, and the staff at Kendal.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Terry, a son-in-law Donnie Curry, and a sister-in-law Nellie Bryant Boyd.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 27, 2016 at Goshen Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Reese and Pastor Tyler Clem officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Matheny, Donald Ingram, Chris Robertson, Gary Curry, Jason Lee, and Mike Jolly.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Goshen Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Baptist Church, 51 Baptist Hill Rd, Goshen, VA  24439 or the Roanoke Alzheimer’s Association, 3959 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA  24018.
