Nannie Ardelia Hazlett Douglas, 87, originally of Craigsville, Virginia died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Envoy of Staunton.
She was born August 22, 1928 in Augusta County, the daughter of the late Ernest O. Hazlett and Florence Sensabaugh Hazlett.
Nannie was employed as a seamstress for Tommy’s Pajama Company in Staunton and Jane Coby Company in Millboro before becoming a full-time homemaker.
She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and attended Craigsville Presbyterian Church.
Nannie is survived by her brother-in-law: Steward Robertson; niece: Susan Pleasants and husband Freddie of Waynesboro, VA; nephew: Michael Robertson and wife Michele of Stuarts Draft, VA; great nephews: Tracy Pleasants of Fredrick, MD and Jeremey Robertson of Waynesboro; great niece: Nikki Robertson of Waynesboro, and 2 great great nieces: Triniti and Destiny.
She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Douglas, Jr., who she married on February 3, 1950 and who preceded her on September 10, 1993, an infant daughter Stephanie Douglas and a sister Lorraine Robertson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 14, 2016 at Craigsville Community Cemetery with Pastor Mary Pysell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Robertson, Jeremey Robertson, Tracy Pleasants, and Eric Vinores.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Craigsville Funeral Home.
