Mary Jane Campbell Riley, 76, of Craigsville, Virginia died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 3, 1939 in Augusta County, the daughter of the late Lewis Downey Campbell and Mary Susan Martin Campbell.
Mary was a devoted housewife her entire life.
She was a member of Millboro Christian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading and doing word searches.
Mary is survived by her children: Ronnie Lee Riley and wife Rhonda of Staunton, Carol Lee Williams and husband Clayton of Craigsville, Mary Elizabeth Pond and husband Boo of Craigsville, Daisy Mae Simmons of Bedford, Christine Lynn Myers and husband Thomas of Buena Vista, Woodrow William Riley and wife Carol Sue of Staunton, Donald Eugene Riley and wife Cindy of Staunton, Charles McNeil Riley and wife Tina of Craigsville, Tammy Susan Knight and husband Douglas of Craigsville, James Walter Riley and wife Alice of Glasgow; grandchildren: Joshua Wayne Riley, Joseph Edward Simmons, Trista Marie Kay, Victoria Renea Knight, Stephanie Dawn Riley, Aaron Lloyd Riley, Stacey Dawn Breeden, Dylan Lewis Breeden, James Allen Riley, Rebecca Lynn Riley, Troy Potter, Christina Fitzgerald, Deborah Johnson, Larry Johnson, Brandy Myers, Thomas Lester Myers, Brooke Riley, April Ethridge; great grandchildren: Colby Edward Knight, Gabriel Lucas Ragly, Kaylee Knott, Lydia Knott, Davie Myers, Jonathan Paul Myers, Katie Myers, Hayley Proctor, Jeremiah Matthew Barton, Tommy Lee Burke, Jasmine Bartly, Madison Lemaster, Jacob Potter, Walker Potter, Brenden Johnson, Wesley Meadows; brothers: Charles Nelson Campbell, Thomas Red Campbell, John Campbell, Lewis Downey Campbell; sisters: Rachel Wheeler, Marie Campbell, Millie Ann Campbell Hicks, Shirley Rodifer, Ruby Childress; and her step-mother Lilly Bell Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson Riley, her brothers Floyd and George Campbell, her sister Karren Faye Campbell, a grandson Daniel Lee Knight, and a great granddaughter Faith Ann Potter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 19, 2015 at Millboro Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Adkins officiating. Interment will be in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Fitzgerald, Thomas Myers Sr., Steve Morris, Thomas Myers Jr., Danny Martin, Larry Welcher, Marty Stuples, and Woody Riley.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 at Craigsville Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Shenandoah or the Augusta Health Cancer Center.
