Clyde H. Wilcher

ClydeClyde H. Wilcher, 89, of Craigsville, Virginia died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at his home.

He was born August 20, 1925 in Craigsville, the son of the late Tom Wilcher and Nannie Pearl Harris Wilcher.

Clyde was employed at Lee High Portland Cement and Lofton Manufacturing.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII.

Clyde was a member of Craigsville Holiness Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Clyde was highly devoted to the Lord and his family.  He was also an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his 3 children: Larry Wilcher and wife Lady of Craigsville, Darlene Hubbard and husband Lloyd of Craigsville, Joyce Hubbard and husband Lonnie of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren: Curtis Wilcher and wife Crystal, Melissa Wilcher, Billy Knight, Michael Hubbard, Marcus Hubbard; six great grandchildren; 3 brothers: William Wilcher and wife Juanita of Craigsville, Melvin Wilcher and wife Vesti of Chesapeake, Virginia, Floyd Wilcher of Craigsville; 2 sisters: Helen Burke and husband McKinnley of Staunton, and Nannie McCutcheon of Craigsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Marie Shiflett Wilcher on September 25, 2012; a brother, Clay Wilcher; and two sisters, Rosellia Fitzgerald and Eunice Davis.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Craigsville Holiness Church with Brother Garey Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Craigsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hampton Cash, Charlie Puckett, Danny Martin, Daryl Gregory, Stevie Sprouse, and Gary Wilcher.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Craigsville Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Craigsville Holiness Church, 201 E. Craig St, Craigsville, Va 24430.
