Edith Ann Thornton Bayne, 80, of Staunton, Virginia died Monday, January 05, 2015 at Envoy of Staunton.
She was born August 26, 1934 in Augusta County, the daughter of the late Author Thornton and Bessie Crist Thornton.
Edith was employed as homemaker her whole life.
She is survived by her adopted sister; Phyllis Morris; cousins; Judy Shipplett and Beuford Gregory; and great niece and nephew; Marilyn Strickler and Chris Sprouse.
She was preceded in death by her brothers; Ramus Myers, Clarence Myers, and Condon Crist; and a special niece, Shirley Sprouse.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Craigsville Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Adkins officiating. Interment will be at Bells Valley Cemetery.
