David Earl Eberwien

David Earl Eberwien, 70, of 70 Stillwater Drive, Craigsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his residence.
He was born April 30, 1944 in Richmond, Virginia, the son of the late Chris Eberwien and Eva Gunn. He was retired from Phillip Morris Park 500 in Hopewell, Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne having served during Vietnam. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to read. He was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by two children David Bryant Eberwien & wife Charlee of Chesterfield, Virginia and Timothy Earl Eberwien & wife Alice of Nelson County, Virginia; a brother, Averette “Fritz” Eberwien of Oilville, Virginia; a half-brother, Gary Gunn of Powatan, Virginia; two half-sisters, Doris Gleason of Powatan and Deloris Gunn of Florida; an uncle Ed Hildebrandt & wife Stella of Craigsville; 5 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Craigsville Funeral Home with Pastor Claude Williams officiating. Interment will be in Craigsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

    we loved Skip too. We are his Stepchildren and Step-.grandchildren. Skip was a very iimportant member of our family hence per his wishes being buried with our family. So very sorry for ur loss.
