Sylvia M. Carper

Sylvia M. Carper, 50, of Craigsville, Virginia died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Envoy of Staunton in Staunton, Virginia.

She was born May 14, 1963 in Staunton, the daughter of Lene Ellinger Carper and the late Cecil E. Carper.

She was formerly employed with Kings Daughters Hospital where she worked as a secretary.
She was a 1980 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School and a 1983 graduate of Brants School of Business. She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching television and reading.

She is survived by her mother, Lene Ellinger Carper of Craigsville; aunts and uncles Elizabeth Whisman, Mary Tipton & husband Hugh, Evelyn Kuta, Vaughnell Mullen and Margaret Ellinger

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Craigsville Funeral Home with Pastor Claude Williams and Pastor Ryan Schaeffer will be officiating. Interment will be in Craigsville Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marshall Sprouse, Johnny Coffman, John Smiley, Larry Smiley, Greg Fitzgerald and Eddie Parker.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Craigsville Funeral Home.
